요즘 유치부 영어 수업, 어떤 방식으로 진행되는지 궁금하셨죠?
유니크 유치부 영어 수업은 단순한 단어 암기식 수업이 아닌,
✅ 누리과정의 주제와 연계된 영어 활동,
✅ 원어민 선생님과 함께하는 풍부한 상호작용,
✅ 그리고 아이들이 영어로 발표하는 시간이 있는 수업입니다!
아이들이 단순히 ‘배우는 것’을 넘어서,
직접 말하고, 표현하고, 서로와 나누는 영어 수업을 통해
스스로 “나도 영어로 말할 수 있어요!”라는 자신감을 키워나가고 있어요.
🌈 주제 중심 통합 활동 – 영어로 놀이하며 배우는 시간
우리 유치부 친구들이 최근 몇 주 동안 어떤 영어 활동을 했는지 궁금하셨죠?
이번 수업에서는 다양한 영어 그림책과 활동, 과학 실험, 노래, 창의 발표 등을 통해 자연스럽고 즐겁게 영어에 몰입할 수 있도록 수업을 구성하여 함께 하였습니다.
🎨 What Can We Draw?
Students practiced vocabulary while drawing fun items like cookies and guitars. They listened to and repeated sentences like “Can you draw a ___?” as they created their own pictures.
From the book, we also used phrases like:
🖍️ “You draw a hungry cat.”
🖍️ “I draw a tall tree.”
🖍️ “You draw a small monkey.”
Students enjoyed repeating these lines and applying them to their own drawings.
🎨 Creative Drawing & Presentation Time
In our most recent class, we took our creativity one step further!
After watching a short video, students were encouraged to freely draw whatever inspired them. Then, they each had the chance to present their drawings to their classmates in English using short and meaningful sentences.
Some examples students shared:
🖼 “This is my drawing.”
🚚 “I drew an ice cream truck.”
🍦 “I like mango ice cream.”
😊 “Thank you for listening to my story.”
It was a special moment of confidence and expression, using English they’ve learned in a natural, creative way!
📖 We Make Good Choices
We learned how to take turns and wait patiently for our turn through storytelling and role-play.
Expressions like “It’s my turn!” and “You go first” helped students understand rules and order in group activities.
🌱 Because You Recycle
We discussed what recycling means and why it’s important for our planet.
Children shared ideas like “I recycle paper” and “I turn off the lights” to show how they care for the Earth.
❄️ Science Time – Ice Observation
In this fun science activity, we observed how ice changes over time.
Students watched the ice for 5 minutes and drew pictures of what they saw, using words like “melting” and “wet.”
🎵 I’m a Good Friend Song
We sang about kindness, sharing, and helping others.
Songs like this help children express positive social behavior in English.
🔊 Quiet or Loud?
We explored when it’s okay to be loud and when we should be quiet.
This lesson helped students learn about different environments and use the appropriate volume in English.
🔁 These Are Opposites
From “wet and dry” to “big and small,” students learned opposite pairs through pictures, games, and conversations.
🦖 Many Kinds of Dinosaurs
We explored dinosaur names and characteristics with fun expressions like “This dinosaur has sharp teeth!”
A favorite topic for many students!
🧍 Abby and Zots
Through this story, we learned about body parts in English: “Abby has two arms,” “Zots has three eyes!”
Students practiced identifying and describing their own body parts, too.
🎤 영어 말하기 발표 시간
유니크 영어 수업의 가장 큰 특징은 바로 ‘말할 기회’가 많다는 점입니다!
이야기의 내용을 이해하고 자기가 좋아하는 장면을 그림으로 표현해보았습니다.
유니크는 미술학원이 아니기때문에, 자기가 감명깊었던 장면에 대한 스케치만으로도 충분합니다. 중요한건 영어발표 !
그리고 난 뒤, 자기 그림에 대해 영어로 친구들 앞에서 소개하는 발표 시간을 가졌습니다.
처음엔 수줍어하던 친구들도,
자신의 생각을 영어로 표현하고 박수를 받는 경험을 통해
자신감 있게 영어로 말하는 습관을 키워가고 있어요.
이러한 발표 활동은 단순한 말하기 훈련을 넘어서,
✔️ 창의적 사고
✔️ 사회적 의사소통 능력
✔️ 영어에 대한 즐거운 기억
으로 연결됩니다.
영어는 “외우는 것”이 아니라 “표현하는 것”
유니크영어학원은 아이들이 영어를 단순히 배우는 것이 아닌,
실제로 말해보고, 표현해보며 익히는 환경을 만들어가고 있습니다.

유니크 영어의 수업 방향
유니크 영어에서는 한 가지 주제를 중심으로 다양한 방식으로 접근하여 아이들과 수업하고 있습니다. 아직은 문장을 외워 읽는 학습보다는, 다양한 영어 그림책을 듣고, 말해보고, 함께 따라 읽어보는 활동을 중심으로 구성하고 있습니다. 아이들이 자연스럽게 영어에 익숙해질 수 있도록 노래와 율동, 게임, 표현 활동을 통해 즐겁게 배우는 환경을 만들어가고 있어요.
